MAPP Programmatic Webinar: The MAPP Program and its FY 2019 Funding Opportunities

The NOAA/OAR Climate Program Office's MAPP Program will host a webinar on Thursday, August 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET on our program and new funding opportunities. In FY 2019, MAPP is accepting proposals in two priority areas:

  • Climate Process Teams - Translating Land Process Understanding to Improve Climate Models
  • 21st Century Integrated U.S. Climate Predictions and Projections

This webinar will describe the MAPP Program, including our research focus areas and partnerships inside and outside of NOAA, our two new competitions, and the process for applying to our competitions. We will close with a Q&A session in which we will answer questions of general interest in real time via the chat function in WebEx.

About CPO Funding Opportunities

CPO manages competitive research programs through which NOAA funds high-priority climate science, assessments, decision support research, outreach, education, and capacity building activities designed to advance the understanding of Earth’s climate system and to foster the application for of this knowledge to enable effective decisions. CPO supports research that is conducted across the United States and internationally. CPO also provides strategic guidance for the agency’s climate science and services programs and supports NOAA’s contributions to the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) and its National Climate Assessment and similar international endeavors.
