On April 29, 2021, from 12-4 pm EST, CPO’s Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle, and Climate (AC4) Program, CSL, and NESDIS/STAR are co-organizing the NOAA GeoXO Atmospheric Composition (AC) Town Hall. The Town Hall will introduce the GeoXO mission to the AC community and share potential AC capabilities from a NOAA geostationary satellite system. Part of the proposed system includes what would be NOAA’s first operational geostationary atmospheric composition instrument. The Town Hall will provide a forum for the research and user community to ask questions, as well as submit comments and ideas on this exciting new prospect. NOAA’s Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite system is the ground-breaking mission that will advance Earth observations from geostationary orbit. GeoXO will supply vital information to address major environmental challenges of the future in support of US weather, ocean and climate operations.
