CPO celebrates exceptional employees

awards

NOAA’s Climate Program Office has recognized Heidi Kutcher and Amanda McCarty with Exceptional Service Awards for their dedicated work. CPO Director Dr. Wayne Higgins also awarded a plaque to Diane Brown, who is celebrating her 30th year in NOAA service.

Kutcher, a financial analyst, is pictured above with CPO Director Higgins. She was recognized for her work in the development and processing of MOUs, two with the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program for support for the U.S. Argo Program and one with the National Science Foundation for collaborative support of the Dissertations Symposium on Chemical Oceanography. Kutcher has also been outstanding in managing the Group Travel process for CPO. She is extremely efficient in preparing the documentation, ensuring that every requirement for data and information is met, and communicating with OAR of Group Travel requests.

McCarty, an international program manager and program analyst for CPO, is pictured above with Director Higgins. She was recognized for her: “outstanding and tireless service to the Climate Program Office International Team, especially as a U.S. negotiator for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and to the AA Climate Goal Board through her service on the Executive Secretariat.”

Finally, Diane S. Brown, pictured above, is celebrating 30 years of NOAA service. Brown, the Grants Administration Team Leader, has spent her last 11 years at NOAA at the Climate Program Office.
